Bath Process Guide

Preparation

Prepare warm water at approximately 40°C. Inflate the pillow. Set room temperature to 24–26°C. Prepare towels, mild shower gel, and change of clothes. Sewage can be discharged to a bucket or connected directly to a toilet.

Communication & Inspection

Communicate with the patient before bathing to ease tension. Check for skin damage or pressure sores and confirm suitability for bathing.

Bathing Process

1. Gently roll the patient to the side and position the bathing mattress underneath.
2. Adjust water temperature — wet hair and body with warm water.
3. Wash hair gently with shampoo, massage scalp, then rinse.
4. Clean the body with shower gel from neck downward, focusing on folds like armpits and groin.
5. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel, especially skin creases.
6. Wipe residual water from mattress, dry the patient, and carefully roll them out of the mattress.
